Founder Sarah Juliusson is a gifted facilitator and writer on the journey of birth & motherhood.  She is a featured expert on both Mothering Magazine & Urban Mommies, and brings two decades of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth and motherhood to her work.  Sarah is mother to two growing boys, a playful crafter with cloth & wool, student of traditional food preservation, and a diva at heart.

Mama Renew was born when a group of friends came together seeking to reconnect, rebalance and renew as women and mothers, exploring topics such as identity, self-care, life balance, and community.  That first group grew into a blog that now supports women around the world, and team of wonderful women here at home in British Columbia, Canada facilitating Mothers Unfolding groups for new mothers and babies, and Mama Renew groups for seasoned mothers.

The gifts of Mama Renew have been many, both in our own lives and those of the women we have supported.  Changes in work, lifestyle, and fitness…clarity on life direction…honoring our own core needs in order to better support our families and community.

Perhaps the perfect testimony to the beauty of Mama Renew is the decision of co-founder Jennifer-Lee to leave ownership and return to her studies for a Masters in Social Work.  The clarity and confidence that emerged in part from her own Mama Renew journey allowed her to make this courageous choice and follow her new dream.
